On Saturday Night the Bilgola Life Saving Club rocked to the sounds of 'Rodant', in turn delivering an overwhelming fundraising total of $10,000 (being $6,000 in pre-Event entry donations, plus $4,000 from 'Laura and Charley's Lucky Balloons', 'Silent Auction' and 'Live Auction activities')!

This takes 'The Shady Glens 2019 Shitbox Rally Team', Cancer Council fundraising tally to date to a whopping $18,000...with more to come!

So many people to thank, including Kylie and the team at Bilgola Life Saving Club; Louise and the Paella creation crew at Food Stuff; Rod Hill and Anthony Meagher, being local musos 'Rodant'; the 60 local businesses and friends who donated over 70 wonderful items for all the fundraising activities.

Of course our heartfelt thanks go to all the 120 guests in attendance who 'dug deep' and really rose to the occassion!

'Merv the Merc', pictured above looked resplendent in updated livery, including Team No 88, Team Drivers, a map of the rally route on the boot, QR tags direct to The Shady Glen website, as well as the logo of our newest sponsor, McGrath Real Estate, Avalon!

A special note of thanks to Mark Lines our Auctioneer for the evening, (being on loan from McGrath Real Estate); Laura Papworth and Charley Howell for their tireless support with promoting the activities; to Helen Hill for all her support pre- Event and during the event; to Grahame and Karen Jones for helping Charlie with all the last minute things to do!

Last but by no means least a big THANKYOU to Ronni and Vicki, the long suffering partners of Jono and Charlie, for allowing them the opportunity to dedicate the last 6 weeks organising and administering the Gala Night!
